The iconic men's underwear brand is part of the costume design of the film directed by Los Javis. Its signature 100% cotton tank top appears on screen.

Some garments need no introduction. The white Abanderado tank top is one of them, and it now has a role in Spanish cinema too: the brand collaborated on the costumes of "La bola negra", the film by Los Javis that is in the race for an Oscar in the Best International Feature category.

Costumes that bridge past and present

"La bola negra" is without a doubt one of the year's biggest releases and will keep people talking in the months ahead. Behind its look is the costume design team led by Ana López Cobos, who set out to tell a historical story through outfits with a distinctly modern feel.

In that balance between period and present day, Abanderado collaborated to build a believable, relatable world, where everyday clothing matters as much as the script.
